🎥 Customer background:

A European electronic accessories brand launched a 1,0000mAh fast-charging power bank on the market, but less than three months after the product was launched, a large number of customers reported that the power bank’s battery life had decreased, and some products could not even be charged. In the end, the return rate of this batch of goods was as high as 70%, which not only damaged the brand’s reputation, but also caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in economic losses.💸

📊 Problem analysis:

After our investigation, we found that the root cause of the problem was the poor consistency of the cells provided by the battery supplier. Although the nominal capacity is 10000mAh, the actual capacity of cells in different batches varies greatly, resulting in a significant decrease in the battery life of some power banks after a period of use, and even the inability to charge and discharge normally. When purchasing, customers only paid attention to the price and ignored the supplier’s cell grading test (capacity grading), a key step.
