As an important science and technology industry base in China, China Optics Valley actively responds to the national strategy and builds a global compound semiconductor innovation beacon and industrial highland in Wuhan, making important contributions to promoting the rapid development of my country’s compound semiconductor industry.
From April 9 to 11, 2024, the attention of the global compound semiconductor industry is focused on the Optics Valley in Wuhan, China. The “2024 Jiufengshan Forum and China International Compound Semiconductor Industry Expo”, referred to as “JFSC&CSE”, will be held here with the theme of “Gathering momentum to empower the future”. This industry feast will bring together industry elites from all over the world to witness the prosperity and progress of the compound semiconductor industry.
At the exhibition site, the exhibition area exceeded 10,000 square meters, attracting more than 200 companies from more than 10 countries around the world. Among them, many top international exhibitors are making their first appearance at the Chinese exhibition.
At the forum, Wu Ling, chairman of the Third Generation Semiconductor Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, released the “Third Generation Semiconductor Industry Development Report (2023)”. She pointed out that in 2023, with the gradual recovery of the semiconductor industry and the vigorous development of application markets such as electric vehicles and new energy, domestic third-generation semiconductor technology and industry will make significant progress.
Optics Valley thrives on light and moves forward core by core. With bright cores all the way, it has been approved as a national optoelectronic information industry base and has created a unique optoelectronic information industry. In the field of integrated circuits, Optics Valley has gathered a group of chain-owner companies, forming an industrial landscape with memory as the core and breakthrough development of compound semiconductors. The construction of the Jiufengshan Science and Technology Park with “one core, three zones, and the intersection of two axes” is accelerating. Ten-billion-level projects such as YOFC Advanced and Leading Thin Materials have successively started construction. The compound semiconductor industry has blossomed from a point to a chain.
